Two Easy Pressure Cooker Recipes
Tender Pork Chops
For this recipe, you will need five pieces of medium-sized pork chops. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the pork chops, and make sure that you knead the meat a little to integrate the seasoning.
Turn on the pressure cooker and, when the vessel is hot (cover removed), add three tablespoons of olive oil. Place the meat inside, and allow it to brown just a little.
Once browned, take the meat and place it on a plate. Remove any residue in the pressure cooker and return the meat. Mix two cups of water and two tablespoons of chicken bouillon powder. Add the mix to the pressure cooker; next add the meat and close the pressure cooker.
Let the meat and stew cook for ten minutes. After ten minutes, turn off the pressure cooker and let it cool down. The meat will continue cooking during the cool down phase. In a separate pan, cook a can of mushroom soup and season it with dried parsley.
Once bubbling, lower the temperature and add a cup of sour cream and a cup of sliced button mushrooms. After simmering, open the pressure cooker and gently integrate the soup to the chicken broth. Serve immediately.
Delectable Beef Stew
If you are a fan of beef stew, this will definitely help perk up your evening. The first step is to brown two pounds of beef strips in your pressure cooker. Place a bit of olive oil to help with the browning process.
Once browned, add two cups of water, and one tablespoon of beef seasoning. This will help enhance the flavor of the stew. Sprinkle with salt, mix a little and add a cup of potatoes (large cubes), bell pepper, two bay leaves, and a cup of carrots.
Cover the pressure cooker and cook for thirty to forty minutes. At the thirty or forty minute mark, turn off the pressure cooker and allow it to cool down for ten to fifteen minutes. The beef will continue cooking as the electric pressure cooker cools down, so you won’t have to worry about under-cooking the meat.
When the pressure cooker has sufficiently cooled down, remove the cover and serve the beef stew immediately. If you need more liquid, just add a cup of water and you will be set. The best thing about this recipe is you can actually experiment with the ingredients – you can add tomato paste and other ingredients to improve the flavor. If you want clear broth, just follow the instructions, and you’ll get clear broth.
