Healthy Food Recipes for Your Spa Day at Home
Who doesn’t love smoothies? A smoothie is a great way to perk up your mornings and cap off the night a few hours before going to bed. As long as you stick to all-natural ingredients, you should be fine.
We recommend sticking to fresh honey for all future smoothies, so you will enjoy not only the sweetness of honey but also its many health benefits. One of the best, all-natural smoothie recipes we know of is the Kiwi Smoothie.
For this recipe, you will need a tray of regular ice cubes (crushed in an ice crusher or food processor), 3 tbsps. of fresh honey, half a cup of blueberries, half a cup of strawberries, and half a cup of freshly sliced kiwi fruit.
Simply combine all of the ingredients in a food processor, and blend on “high” setting for a minute and a half. When the consistency of the fruit smoothie becomes fine, and the color of the blended fruits have combined well, pour into a tall glass and enjoy.
Feel free to enjoy this delectable Kiwi Smoothie together with a large, low-sugar oatmeal cookie, as the two complement each other very nicely.

Cleansing Honey Tea
Tea has been used for thousands of years as a natural aid for detoxification. Alone, the tea is a powerful aid for cleaning out toxins in the body.
However, if you combine it with other equally healthy ingredients, you will get twice the benefits and twice the enjoyment when you consume the tea. This is what you will get when you prepare the Cleansing Honey Tea.
For this recipe you will need 1/3 cup of fresh honey, 2 black tea bags, ½ cup of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, 2 ½ cups of hot water, and ½ a stick of fresh cinnamon. To prepare the tea, pour the hot water into a porcelain/ceramic tea kettle.
Dip in the tea bags and half a stick of cinnamon. Let the two ingredients soak for about four minutes. Remove the tea bags and the cinnamon stick afterward. Add the fresh honey and grapefruit juice, and stir gently. Serve the tea hot and enjoy!
Sweet Tofu Delight
Tofu is a clean source of plant protein and it is also very versatile as an ingredient. The Sweet Tofu Delight is a simple enough recipe; you will only need some fresh tofu, honey, and light soy sauce to prepare it.
Use a small food brush to spread the honey and soy sauce over the tofu. Feel free to stir-fry or grill the tofu afterward. We recommend serving Sweet Tofu Delight with blanched greens and steamed rice. You may also drink Cleansing Honey Tea to complete your spa cuisine experience! Enjoy!
